This painting feels like arriving beautifully overdressed to an event you almost skipped.

Soft pinks, peach, lavender, and coral sweep across the surface like perfume in the air, sunset light, silk thrown over a chair, or emotions moving faster than reason. Bright red lines cut dramatically through the composition like signatures, detours, or declarations made with excellent posture.

Touches of yellow, navy, charcoal, and pale blue flicker throughout the painting like sparks, shadows, or side comments nobody was supposed to hear. The layered color creates a sense of glamour held together by momentum.

The brushwork is loose, restless, and expressive. Some marks are broad and sweeping, while others are scratched, scribbled, or quickly drawn into wet paint, giving the whole piece movement and a kind of stylish urgency.

It has the energy of being complicated but worth it. The kind of presence that takes up space, says very little, and still becomes the main topic later.

Painted on mixed media paper, which means the surface may have slight waviness, soft edges, or small quirks from the process. Those are part of the piece and part of how it was made.
